In the town you can get anywhere by bus, taxi or taking a walk (but it can take you longer than other ways). You can find some tourist information offices to get maps or guides of Talavera.
Places to see: This is a town with many interesting places to visit or to have fun. You would like to see the Prado Gardens with the famous "Ntra. Sra. del Prado" Basílica (the long-lady of Talavera) or go to see interesting plays at the "Victoria" theatre or "Palenque" theatre (both located in the centre of the town). There are ancient Roman walls and many churches to see, too.
Things to do: You can do lots of things to have fun. If you are a sports lover, you would like to swim in different pools (including an indoor one), run in the athletics track, play all kinds of sports in various sports centres or, if you are more original, practise canoeing on the river Tajo. Other interesting things to do are: seeing a film in a new cinema, shopping in the lots of shops or going dancing to different discos or pubs with great music.
Eating out: in Talavera there are different kinds of restaurants: for young people and not very expensive, you can enjoy having a hamburger in "Burger King" or "McQueen´s", or a pizza in one of the pizzeries here. But, if you want some great seafood dishes or Spanish food you could go to restaurants like "El Penalty", "Levante", "El Arcipreste" or "El Esturión" (but these places are a little more expensive).Another way to enjoy eating out is visiting one of the Chinese, Mexican, Italian or American restaurants offering typical dishes of these countries.
